Counselling for the mind, body and soul

I am a fully qualified therapist with a BSc Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from The University of Derby.
I am qualified to work with both adults, children and young people, choosing to specialise in CYP in my final year of study.
Helping people and spending time outdoors are a huge part of my life, so when I decided to set up in private practice, I wanted to offer something a little different for people who may not want to access therapy in the traditional way.

Walk and Talk Therapy takes your sessions outdoors, allowing for movement and time in nature.
It can be a great option for both adults and young people, offering a less intense environment for those who don't feel comfortable in a counselling room.
We walk side by side and this can be really helpful if you struggle with eye contact or sitting still for long periods of time. It can be especially helpful for those with increased anxiety or neurodivergent.
Outdoor sessions are available in Preston, Lancashire and are suitable for a range of fitness levels. All of the routes are risk assessed and provide areas to sit down and parking close by.
Online Counselling can be accessed from the comfort of your own home, using Zoom video call to still allow face to face support. This can be a much more flexible option if you struggle to travel or have other commitments. You can opt to do a mixture of online and outdoor, whatever works best for you.

SST is a therapeutic approach that focuses on offering support in a single meeting to address a specific issue or challenge that you may be facing. Although SST is still Person Centred in its approach, it is more solution focused as we work towards specific goals and strategies to help manage and overcome certain challenges that may be holding you back.
Single Session Therapy (SST) involves working together to explore strategies and set realistic goals that you will then go and work on in your own time. Follow up sessions can be arranged if needed. SST is often referred to as 'One at a time' therapy, as there is no long term commitment, however you can arrange single sessions as and when you feel you need them.
